Omar Gordeziani holds a Master’s degree in Sociology. He is an invited lecturer in the field of sociology and evaluation and development specialist of learning process at Ilia State University.
As a researcher, he collaborated with such organizations as the Advance Research Center of Ilia State University and the Red Cross Society of Georgia.
He is the author of the research “Analysis of political discourse on the example of a government clock: ideological and metaphorical representations in the language of politicians.”
Omar is the co-author of the international research: “Report on the needs and status quo of personnel working on the front lines of the pandemic” (Increasing Knowledge and Partnerships on Mental Health and Psychosocial), which was conducted by the Red Cross Associations of Georgia, Armenia, and Austria.
His main research interests are labor issues, social equality, and the study of metaphorical and ideological representations in spoken language using critical and political discourse analysis (CDA & PDA).
