Ana Gvalia holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Social Development. Her fields of interest include women’s labor rights, labor migration, unemployment, and unemployment benefits.
Ana has cultivated her work experience in the private sector, in the field of tourism administration. Yet, she was constantly involved in various social projects – concerning the rights of persons with disabilities, and women’s empowerment.
In 2016, she prepared research on the problems of NEET groups (“Youth left behind education, employment, and vocational training”) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Georgia.
As part of her university studies, she worked on Georgian feminist activism, narratives of women representing the Georgian ethnic minority, and the socio-cultural and economic challenges of foreign students living abroad.
