Sopho Verdzeuli holds a master’s degree in constitutional politics, law, and theory.
She has worked on judicial and law enforcement reform for more than ten years. She is the author/co-author of more than 10 researches/reports on the judicial system, drug policy, political neutrality of police, and institutional arrangement of law enforcement agencies.
Among them are a research she co-authored prepared in 2012 (which served as a basis for the first wave of judicial reform in Georgia) and an assessment of the reforms carried out in the justice system in 2012-2021 (which contributed to changing civil organizations’ perspective towards institutional reforms).
Sopho was involved in drug policy reform, which substantially improved human rights standards in this field.
She cooperated with such organizations as Social Justice Center (former Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC)) and Young Lawyers Association (GYLA).
